Context
Before SMIP, school records, grades and transfers lived in separate systems and on paper. The Ministry needed one source of truth for every student's journey, from enrolment to diploma, that families could also see in real time.
SMIP now serves students, teachers, school administrators, 44 Regional Administration Offices, 4 District Education and Sports Directorates and the Ministry itself, each with its own permissions and views.
The challenge
- 01
National scale with sharp peaks
Enrolment windows, grading deadlines and report periods bring the whole country onto the platform at once.
- 02
A single source of truth
Every grade, absence, transfer and diploma must be correct, validated and traceable, because other institutions rely on it.
- 03
Many roles, one system
Ministry, regions, districts, schools, teachers, parents and students all need different access to the same data.
- 04
Official documents
Diplomas and transcripts must be generated and digitally signed inside the platform.
Our approach
- 1
Student lifecycle and registry
Enrolments, school transfers, re registrations and attendance in real time, with strict validation layers on grades, absences and academic history.
- 2
Curriculum and teacher workload
School specific curricula, course scheduling, subject mapping and grade structures, plus teaching hours and class assignment aligned with national standards.
- 3
Portals and real time communication
Secure parent and student portals for attendance, grades, messages and homework, and a real time channel between teachers, students and families.
- 4
Ministry dashboards and integrations
Live oversight of performance, capacity, mobility and compliance for policy making, and integration with the university system for grades and averages.
- 5
AI modules
An anti bullying detection module, an objectives reach system for grade, class and student goals, and an intelligent help module for users.
Architecture
One registry, many views: role based access separates what the Ministry, a region, a school, a teacher or a parent can see and change.
